Power slowly being turned back on
As of 1:30 p.m., most of the power has been restored in Henderson and other parts of the valley. There are currently 443 customers without power in the 89011 zip code (Henderson) and 112 customers without power in 89131 zip code, which includes the Centennial Hills area.
Power outages continue at 9 a.m. July 20
More than 7,000 customers are without power right now. Boulder Highway is still closed at this time one lane in each direction is expected to reopen in about an hour.
Emergency shelter opened
An emergency shelter has been opened for Henderson residents who do not have power.

Boulder Highway still closed
Boulder Highway is still closed between Russell and Sunset Roads because of downed power poles and lines. Motorists should seek alternative routes.

Power outages as of 4 A.M. JULY 20
There are still approximately 3,000 customers without power around the Las Vegas valley, according to the NV Energy outage map. The highest number of outages are located in the 89011 zip code, which is near Boulder Highway and Galleria Drive. There are downed power lines in the area.

NV Energy confirms the outages are weather-related.
"We have reports of down lines. Our crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. We want our customers to consider any down line electrified and dangerous - stay away and call 911."
