The family of Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for more than two weeks, has been cleared as possible suspects in the case, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said.

Nanos said that includes all siblings and spouses. He described the family as "cooperative and gracious."

“To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel,” Nanos said. “The Guthrie family are victims, plain and simple.”

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1. Authorities believe she was taken from her home against her will.

“Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie posted a video on social media late Sunday, pleading for her mother’s safe return.

“It is never too late to do the right thing,” Guthrie said. “And we are here. And we believe in the essential goodness of every human being, that it’s never too late.”

Federal authorities investigating Nancy Guthrie's disappearance said a glove recovered about two miles from Guthrie’s house appears to match those worn by the masked person seen outside her front door the night she vanished.

The glove, found on the side of a road, was submitted for DNA testing. The FBI said it received preliminary results Saturday but is awaiting confirmation.

Authorities also confirmed that the clothing the suspect is wearing in surveillance footage "may have been purchased from Walmart," but that it is not exclusively sold by the retailer.
