Boulder Highway is known as a dangerous street to cross in the valley but what is being done about it?
Someone asked 13 Action News to look into getting a light installed in front of Boulder Station. It's a little more complicated than that.
The Nevada Department of Transportation has found 7 different locations on Boulder Highway that need pedestrian improvements, such as crosswalks and lights. However, since Boulder Highway runs through the city of Henderson, Clark County and the city of Las Vegas, these kinds of projects take some time to coordinate.
The first thing on the list is a pedestrian median, which will go up on Boulder Highway and Sun Valley Drive, right across from Eastside Cannery. That project should be done in the next couple of months.
As for other safety projects, the plan is to start construction next year.
