Wrong-way driver causes crash, car fire on 215 near 95 interchange, according to NSP

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Traffic is delayed on 215 near the 95 interchange.

Just after 4 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a crash at westbound 215 north near Jones.

A vehicle going the wrong way hit a second vehicle head-on, and both vehicles caught fire.

The wrong-way vehicle had one person inside, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle that was hit had two people inside. The driver of that vehicle was also pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This area of the 215 is expected to be closed for the next six to eight hours.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and please use alternate routes.
