(KTNV) — We're getting more information about police activity that briefly shut down southbound lanes of Interstate 15 on Wednesday afternoon.
The closure near Jean was first reported by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada at 12:11 p.m. As of 12:57 p.m., the agency reported southbound lanes of the freeway had reopened.
A traffic camera in the area showed several law enforcement vehicles flanking a semi-trailer on the side of the interstate.

In a statement to Channel 13, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department explained more about the nature of the closure.
Las Vegas police temporarily closed travel lanes "due to an incident involving a possible stolen vehicle," a department spokesperson wrote.
One person was detained, and this investigation is ongoing, police stated.
