LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — One person is dead after a wreck in the northwest valley early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 5:32 a.m. in the area of North Durango Drive near Corbett Street, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
A 2018 Honda Accord was traveling north on Durango while a pedestrian was in the roadway outside a marked crosswalk, police said.
The pedestrian entered the path of the Honda and was hit. Responding medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, according to authorities.
The pedestrian’s death marks the 21st traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025, and the collision remained under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
