Update: 9:18 p.m. | Las Vegas Metro police have provided another update in a press release.

Police are now saying the drivers of the sedans — a 2018 Honda Civic and a 2007 Nissan Altima — both claimed injuries.

Police said the driver of the Honda claimed injuries but was not transported to a hospital. Police said the driver of the Nissan also claimed injuries and was taken to UMC Trauma Center by medical personnel.

The rider of the motorcycle was taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries have been reported.

Police also outlined the events leading up to the collision. They said the Nissan was stopped at a red light on Eastern and Cedar — facing eastbound on Cedar in the right lane.

Police said the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Eastern towards Cedar in the right lane on a green light. The Honda was also on Eastern facing north in a left-hand turn lane onto Cedar.

Police said the Honda turned left onto Cedar under a flashing yellow light, failing to yield right of way as the motorcycle entered the intersection. The Honda collided with the motorcycle, ejecting the rider onto the roadway and sending the motorcycle into the left side of the Nissan.

Police do not suspect impairment in this investigation.
