Metro police investigating fatal pedestrian crash near Gabriel Drive/Spencer Street

Metro police said around 4:08 p.m. on Wednesday, evidence at the scene and surveillance video showed that a male pedestrian — for unknown reasons — was lying in the south edge of Gabriel Drive.

Police said a 2006 Nissan Titan was driving eastbound on Gabriel Drive when the collision happened. The Nissan's right-side wheels struck the pedestrian.

Responders said emergency medical personnel were immediately requested at the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene.

Investigators said the driver of the Nissan showed no signs of impairment and remained on the scene.

This marks the 95th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction for 2024.

This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision near Gabriel Drive and Spencer Street.

Police said the pedestrian has been declared deceased and the driver remained at the scene.
