LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported one woman dead from a crash on Russell Road and Torrey Pines Drive on Sunday.
Around 11:25 a.m., a 2009 Porsche was traveling westbound on Russell Road in the center turn lane, approaching the intersection of Torrey Pines Drive. A Suzuki was traveling eastbound on Russell in the right-most travel lane, approaching the intersection of Torrey Pines Drive.
Police said a collision occurred when the Porsche made a left turn at the intersection, crossing the path of travel of the Suzuki.
The front of the Suzuki struck the front of the Porsche.
Responding emergency medical personnel determined the rider of the Suzuki was beyond resuscitation and pronounced her deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Porsche remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
Police said the rider's death marks the 131st traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2022.
The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
