The Nevada Department of Transportation will begin nightly lane restrictions along Interstate 15 in both directions between Craig Road and Speedway Boulevard in North Las Vegas from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 31 until Nov. 10.
The restrictions are part of a $33.8 million widening of I-15 between Craig Road and Speedway Boulevard. The project will widen a 5-mile stretch of highway from four to six travel lanes while installing new lighting, signage and landscaping.
Other work calls for drainage improvements as well as widening and seismic upgrades to four overpass structures at Range Road and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
Construction is expected to finish by early 2018.
