The Nevada Department of Transportation is spending $20 million in earthquake proofing our roadways.
More specifically, a new project adds "structural seismic retrofits" to several Interstate 15 bridge structures in North Las Vegas, including the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, Owens Avenue, Carey Avenue and Craig Road.
Work requires a 24-hour one lane closure north and southbound along I-15.
Delays should be expected between Owens Avenue and Craig Road from May 2 through June 30.
