LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police say a 42- year-old woman is suffering from life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car that was rear-ended while she was crossing the street.

Officers responded to the crash around 12:39 p.m. on Saturday near Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway.

Police say an Audi Q5 was driving eastbound on Flamingo followed by a Jeep Wrangler. At the same time, police say the woman was running across the street.

The driver of the Audi tried to slow down, according to authorities. It was rear-ended by the Jeep, causing the Audi to hit the woman.

She was transported to Sunrise Hospital with critical injuries.

The drivers were also transported to Sunrise Hospital with suspected minor injuries, police say.

Neither driver was determined to be impaired by police.

The crash remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
