Monsoon rain showers and thunderstorms have been falling across the Southwest this week, especially across Arizona.
All of the rain has led to flooded homes, roads and a muddy mess.

The state of Arizona receives an average of a little more than a foot of rain over the course of a year, and a lot of that occurs during the monsoon season.
The monsoon season is an especially wet time of year when rain is more common, usually beginning in mid to late June and lasting through the end of September.
