Severe storms, snow and flooding — oh my! The final week of February is looking more like early spring.
A complex of storms is traveling from the Rockies, into the Plains, across the South and into the Midwest and Northeast during the first half of this week.
Severe storms are most likely to occur in Texas on Monday, but that threat moves into the South along the Gulf Coast on Tuesday before traveling to the southeast coast on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the backside of this storm is bringing snow to the Colorado Rockies today before moving across the Plains, Midwest and Northeast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
It's a wide variety of weather like this that serves as a simple reminder the transition from winter to spring is a bumpy ride with many back and forth before the constant warmth of summer will eventually settle into place.

The latest forecast models for March, April and May show warm, dry conditions across the northern half of the country while cooler, wetter conditions seem to persist in the southern half of the U.S.
