College basketball season is quickly approaching.
During the Mountain West Conference Media Day, the UNLV's Men's Basketball Coach spoke about the challenges this year.
He had this to say:
"There's been so much uncertainty. So the players trying to be adaptable, being willing to pivot each and every day, not knowing what our conference season might look like, when we might have our first game, is there a chance games could get canceled or postponed - these sorts of things. We've tried to stay focused on that day, what we need to do to get better - our improvement, our focus on the practice court."
The conference also released the picks for players of the year yesterday.
Derrick Alston Junior from Boise State was picked preseason player of the year.
However, UNLV's David Jenkins Junior was picked as preaseason newcomer of the year.
And the Rebels Nick Blake was also picked for freshman of the year.
