The UNLV men's soccer team opens its 2020-21 season in February, as the Rebels will play a 10-game conference only season before hosting the WAC Tournament for the second time in team history at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
The season opener is set for Feb. 7 against Cal Baptist at 1 p.m.
UNLV will play five home and five away games this regular season, as it will also host Air Force, Houston Baptist, Utah Valley and Grand Canyon. Road games will be played at Incarnate Word, Seattle, UTRGV, new league member Dixie State and San Jose State.
This will be the first time the WAC Tournament has been in Las Vegas since the 2017 championships. UNLV reached the semifinals of that event, and would tie Seattle 0-0 in double-overtime though the Redhawks advanced to the championship game after winning the penalty kick shootout.
The first round is set for April 13 with two games, while the top two seeds receive byes into the semifinal round on April 15.
The championship game is slated for April 17.
Though the Rebels did graduate Timo Mehlich who was drafted in the 2020 MLS Superdraft, they do return a strong roster highlighted by midfielder Nico Clasen, forward Marco Gonzalez and defender Billy Jones, along with a very strong recruiting class.
