The UNLV Running Rebels may have just capped off their 2017 season a few weeks ago but the team is already gearing up for an even better 2018.
Today marked the inaugural early signing period for NCAA football. Normally, recruits wouldn't be able to sign with college programs until National Signing Day in February, excluding those who graduate early from high school to enroll at their desired university in the spring. Early signing day allows athletes to sign well before the next semester and stay in high school without the added distraction.
This rule change is great for student-athletes who participate in multiple sports and for those that just want to get the recruiting process over with.
Today, UNLV inked 13 recruits on Early Signing Day and two of them are from the Las Vegas Area.
