LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas sportsbooks see betting excitement with the Las Vegas Raiders making their home debut in Sin City.
“We love Las Vegas we love the way that the city has rolled out the red carpet for us and we appreciate it and we’re just looking forward to the future," said Tiron Brown, a fan visiting from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brown is president of the of the South Mississippi, Raider fan club and traveled to Las Vegas for the Raiders' first home game.
Brown says he wishes he could have watched the game at Allegiant Stadium, but the Westgate Superbook is the next best place.
"Being a diehard Raiders fan, I’ve been all over the world with the Raiders and traveled with the Raiders," said Tammy Brown, a Raiders fan from Los Angeles.
The Westgate's Superbook hosted several Raiders and Saints fans to watch the first home game for Las Vegas.
Jay Kornegay, Vice President of the Superbook, says the betting action has brought the opening spread of points to just 3.5 in favor of the Saints.
Kornegay says sports betting continues to bring in a host of 'newbies' to the action as well as the popularity of prop bets.
