HENDERSON (AP) — Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden has insisted since the start of training camp that his defense will be anchored by offseason acquisition Maliek Collins.

Collins says he's prepared to accept the responsibility.

Collins spent the first four years of his career with the Cowboys in Dallas, where he racked up 14.5 sacks and 54 solo tackles in 61 career games.

He was joined in Las Vegas by defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, who also came over from Dallas and spent the past four seasons helping mold the 6-foot-2, 303-pound defensive tackle.
