PGA golfer tests positive for COVID-19 ahead of Shriner's Open

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A professional golfer has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

The test was part of the PGA's screening process this week.

Tony Finau has since withdrawn from the event after the positive test result.

According to the PGA, he will have the tour's full support throughout his self-isolation period.

The tournament starts Thursday at TPC Summerlin here in Las Vegas.
