LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup International Showcase returns for its 13th year over Presidents Day weekend, Feb. 15-17 (boys), and Feb. 21-23 (girls).

This is the largest international youth soccer tournament in the country.

This year 472 male youth soccer teams and 269 female youth teams, ages 11-19, from 18 foreign countries and 26 U.S. states will compete in the tournament.

The teams will compete on valley soccer fields at five different parks throughout the valley.

The event is co-hosted by the city of Las Vegas and the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club.

Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club President Roger Tabor says the event is expected to bring about $29 million into the local economy.

Recruiters and coaches from across the country will be in town to scout the young athletes.

All match information and locations are posted on LVMayorsCup.com.
