It's looking like William "Wild Bill" Karlsson might be staying in Las Vegas for a few more years.

The top-line center is not only a fan favorite, he's a major part of why the Knights have been successful in the last 2 years, according to Knights On Ice.

The 26-year-old hockey player has a combined 67 goals and 134 points with the Knights.

The deal is expected to be worth $5.9 million AAV per Jesse Granger of the Athletic and is expected to be for 8 years, which is the max allowed by the NHL. That means he will earn almost $47 million during the length of the contract.

Karlsson, who is from Sweden, was drafted in the 2nd round by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

His teammate, Jonathan Marhessault, seems particularly happy about the news. He posted the following on Instagram.
