A quick look at their YouTube channel and it's clear - Kyle and Makenna Gott are Vegas Golden Knights superfans.
Episodes of their video blog - Gott Love - show them decked out in VGK gear cheering on their Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena, from watch parties and hanging out with mascot Chance at Fan Fest.
It turns out neither were big hockey fans before moving to Vegas two years ago. As a member of the Air Force, Kyle was stationed at Nellis Air Base. And although they've made their fair share of move, Kyle says the Golden Knights helped Vegas feel like home.
"I've never had that pride of, 'my hometown has a team,' let alone, 'my state has a team,'" Gott said. "A place we already wanted to call home feels even more like home after that."
The season, the brains behind the blog found a way to combine their love for adventure with their love for the Golden Knights. To celebrate the end of Kyle's 6-year enlistment, the couple spent much of the last year mapping out a road trip, making sure to choose cities where they could see the Golden Knights play.
The result is a 6-month road trip with stops for games in Chicago, Columbus, Miami, Tampa and Dallas.
Makenna says she hopes to bring T-Mobile Arena energy to the away games.
"The atmosphere might be a little different because we're the away team but I'm still going to bring it," said Makenna. "It's going to be awesome. I'm so excited."
