Following the expansion draft Wednesday, the Vegas Golden Knights have made the team's first ever picks in the NHL draft.

During the first round on Friday, the Golden Knights selected Cody Glass with its first pick at No. 6 in the draft, Nick Suzuki as the second pick at No. 13 and Erik Brannstrom as the third and final pick of the first round at No. 15.

Glass had played for the Western Hockey League's Portland Winterhawks while Suzuki played for the Ontario Hockey League's Owen Sound Attack and Brannstrom for the Swedish Hockey League.
The hockey team acquired two additional first round picks in trades with the Winnipeg Jets and New York Islanders.
A draft viewing party was held at T-Mobile Arena Friday.
