Thousands of fans packed Toshiba Plaza in front of the T-Mobile Arena on Monday night for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
The Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals hit the ice after exciting pre-game festivities, including a free concert by rapper Lil Jon outside and an elaborate show on the ice before the puck dropped.

It was hard-fought game. The score was tied up until the third period when the Knights were able to pull ahead. The final score was 6-4 and Vegas Golden Knights now lead the series 1-0. VGK's home record is 7-1 in playoffs.
Other highlights during the game included Lee Greenwood singing "God Bless the USA" and Gladys Knight singing "God Bless America." Michael Buffer, who is the legendary boxing and wrestling announcer, introduced the teams. He even used his catchphrase "Let's Get Ready to Rumble."
