The AHL club will practice and be headquartered at their Lifeguard Arena complex on Water Street. The new venue will be where the team plays their home games.
Thursday's announcement was included in Henderson Mayor Debra March's State of the City address. March said the arena joins several big projects for the city like the Raiders practice facility underway near St. Rose Parkway.
VGK's AHL team will play its first season at the Orleans Arena while the new arena is being built.
