T-Mobile Arena is getting one step closer to being hockey ready.
Officials finished laying down a full sheet of ice at the arena Saturday. The entire process took about 10 days to complete.
It gives crews a chance to practice converting the arena for a concert after a hockey game.
Las Vegas' NHL team will not take the ice until next year but there will be two preseason games in October. The Los Angeles Kings will take on the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche.
"So all the glass comes down, the ice decking comes on, you cover the ice, the ends of the arena come down," said George Salami, T-Mobile Arena conversion manager. "So you can get the staging in, everything like that. So you get it ready for a concert that night."
Officials said fans can expect the temperature to be a cool 63 degrees inside come gameday.
