Friends are rallying around a single dad diagnosed with COVID-19.

Alfredo Huerta is a father of four who lost his wife to cancer nearly five years ago.

The 53-year-old first started feeling sick a couple of weeks ago and was rushed to the emergency room where he tested positive for COVID-19.

His friend Alana says all he could think about were his children.

"He was very scared. Didn't want his kids to go through something so traumatic like they did with their mother," she said.

"He was afraid he wasn't going to be there for them," she added, "he started thinking the worst."

The good news is Huerta is home now and recovering.
