LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The 2020 holiday shopping season is looking very different this year. Black Friday's not just on Black Friday anymore, and that's good news for you. 13 Action News Anchor Tricia Kean has a look at the savings headed your way.

EVERY WEEKEND THERE'S A SALE

"A lot of companies are saying this 'Black Friday deal,' 'this Black Friday deal!' I'm sitting here like, how many Black Friday deals are there? I thought Black Friday was after Thanksgiving," said Bev Pennant of Henderson.

She says it's confusing. She feels like she's seeing more ads for discounts than usual.

"Am I really getting the best deal since it's like, every weekend there's a Black Friday sale?" asked Bev.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SAVE

"Consumers are the winners this year. Black Friday actually started at the beginning of November," said shopping expert Georganne Bender of Kizer and Bender.

She says it's true -- expect major opportunities to save.

COMPARE PRICES

"It's more like a Black Friday season... Every day retailers have a new kind of offer," said Georganne.

With every store trying to earn your business, Georganne says it's more important than ever to compare prices.

"There are apps out there like ShopSavvy" she said.

"ShopSavvy allows you to put in a barcode or scan a QR code and it will help you, it makes it really easy to compare deals," Georganne explained.

STACK COUPONS & DISCOUNTS

Also, try stacking on any additional coupon codes or store rewards for an extra discount.

Start by checking out your favorite retailer on social media or through their app.

"The app is very beneficial to have. So is signing up for the retailer's email blast, because they're sending out daily emails," said Georganne.

If you just can't find a particular item at the price you want, Georganne recommends an online trick.

"Put it in your cart and then don't check out," she advised.

"Then, see if half-an-hour later or 15 minutes later you get an email from the retailer saying hey, 'I saw you put that in your cart and you didn't buy it. Here's an extra 20% off that item.'"

READ THE FINE PRINT

Finally, Georganne says read the fine print.

Be sure you understand the return policy, shipping timeline or anything in-between.

Bottom line, she says the deals are out there and you have lots of time to shop around.

DEALS INTO JANUARY

"You're going to see it go all the way through December and maybe even into January," said Georganne.

Bev says she's sticking strictly to online shopping this year and is feeling confident about finding some good deals.

"If I know what I want, I know I can get it online. To be honest, I don't think I've shopped in a store this year," said Bev.
