LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — At a time when budgets are tight for so many Americans, some prescription drug prices are on the rise.
Healthcare company GoodRX tracks prescription drug costs.
It says so far this month, 735 different drugs have gone up in price.
The company reports it's typical to see drug prices jump in January and July If your medication price went up this year.
Ask your pharmacist if you can take a different or generic medication in the same drug class.
Also ask about manufacturer coupons.
And check on getting a one year supply, it can often be cheaper than paying for the medication monthly.
