LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A business consultant calls it a social responsibility to spend your stimulus money productively.
Shawn Dill teaches small businesses about marketing and strategy.
He points out COVID restrictions have forced many businesses to cut overhead costs.
Stimulus money was supposed to help, but Shawn says too many Americans are saving it.
That's why he says what we do with our discretionary cash matters.
"They could take that money and buy a PlayStation, and that did not necessarily achieve the end goal. And failure to do that could lead to dire crisis in our economy where, again the rich are getting richer and then other people are suffering because we block that trickle down in essence" Dill said.
He also says don't underestimate the difference you can make.
If possible, he says spend those stimulus dollars and help your favorite small business.
