Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival returns

Posted
For the ninth year in a row, the Clark County Library will host the Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival (VVCBF) on Nov. 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will offer programming for all ages, including workshops, film screenings, musical performances, arts & crafts, and more.

The festival provides fans a place to share and indulge their love of comic books and popular geek culture. Attendees will be able to peruse comics, toys, and other merchandise at vendor booths. Fans may interact with Writers, artists, and independent publishers in the expanded Artist Alley.

Local Las Vegas artists are encouraged to submit their original artwork by June 15 for the 2016 VVCBF poster artist contest. The artist's image will be used on all advertisements to promote this year's event. They will also receive an honorarium of $250, two VIP tickets to the festival and a featured bio on the VVCBF website.

VVCBF is also accepting applications for vendors, artists, and publishers who wish to exhibit in the marketplace or Artist Alley

Admission to the VVCBF is free, though fans may upgrade their experience by pre-registering for a VIP package for $7. The package comes with a VIP badge and other free swag, with proceeds benefiting the Comic Book Festival.
