LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas celebrated its Third Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony hosted by Vegas Golden Knights' Marc-André Fleury and Max Pacioretty on Nov. 22.
The event kicked off with Daniel Espino, chief people officer for The Cosmopolitan, coming to the stage to present Folded Flag Foundation with a $15,000 donation.
After the check presentation, Fleury and Pacioretty counted down to the lighting of the tree.
Being the jokester he is, Fleury faked out the crowd by pretending to flip the switch at the end of the countdown, leaving the crowd wondering what happened.
Flury then turned the light on as guests applauded the lighting of the tree.
The evening also included fire-roasting s’mores, festive cocktails and season-friendly comfort food while skating to music by DJ Josh Bliss.
The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan is open daily through Jan. 5. The 4,200-square-foot ice rink offers breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip and has become one of Las Vegas’ most cherished holiday traditions. Hours of operation vary per day.
