LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UNLV is asking for donations to host events for students in need following a busy first-ever "Take What You Need" pop-up on Tuesday.
Over 50 students stopped by the Center for Social Justice to pick up basic need items such as hygiene products, household goods and non-perishable food.
UNLV's office of Service Learning and Leadership says it wants to host more "Take What You Need" events in the future for students and is asking for donations.
Items they need most are:
- Laundry detergent
- Antibacterial soap
- Body wash
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Shavers
- Shaving cream
- Deodorant
- Sanitary napkins
- Tampons
- Bedding (sheets, pillowcases, blankets)
- Pillows
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Cleaning supplies
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Towels
- Clothes (shirts, slacks, warm clothing, etc.)
- School Supplies
