LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A UNLV scientist will help NASA with its Mars mission by studying rocks collected from the red planet.
UNLV geoscientist Arya Udry has been selected by NASA as one of 13 participating scientists to join the Mars 2020 Mission, making her the second UNLV professor chosen for the Mars science team.
The Mars rover will recover the rocks from the planets surface.
And once they're back, a UNLV geo-scienctist will investigate how these rocks were formed.
Her work begins as soon as the rover launches on Feb. 18.
