UnCommons, a first-of-its-kind development coming to Las Vegas in late 2021, will premiere “Shine” on June 10 at noon PST.

The two-and-a-half-minute video honors the fortitude of Las Vegas’ residents with a #VegasShines message.

A celebration of the Las Vegas community, the video interweaves a diverse cross-section of locals who have been embracing day-to-day life while in quarantine, as well as those who have continued to work in essential jobs.

They include Bettina May, a burlesque performer, musician and model; Chris Conlon, executive chef of Piero’s Italian Cuisine; Keith Bracewell, a bartender and mixologist for Esther’s Kitchen; Lucia Carbines, a contortionist and performer for the show Opium by Spiegelworld; Marianella Michaud, a dancer for Cirque du Soleil; Gaby Duong, a photographer and DJ; Jesse Gray, part of the construction team behind Allegiant Stadium; Isaac Zevalking, the socio-political artist behind Recycled Propaganda; and Khalid Freemen, a choreographer and dancer; among others.

The video captures how these locals have spent the past few months; practicing their crafts, spending time with family, improving various skills, connecting with others, often virtually, honing their creativity and, as deemed “essential,” working. Centered around the human experience, “Shine” aligns with UnCommons’ mission to foster connectivity, creativity and community.

The video was filmed during various stages of the shutdown by Do Not Disturb, a spirited creative agency that aims to create shareable content people actively seek out and engage with.
