To help the Clark County School District (CCSD) kick-off Teacher Appreciation Week, Station Casinos announced at a special assembly at C.P. Squires Elementary that 18,000-plus CCSD teachers and long-term substitutes will receive a free buffet in honor of their hard work and commitment to students.
Students at the school performed a set from their production of Lion King and the Clark H.S. Orchestra graced teachers with a special CCSD rendition of "Be Our Guest."
Among those in attendance were Board of School Trustees Clerk Patrice Tew, Board of School Trustees member Kevin L. Child, Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky and Station Casinos Vice President of Public Relations Lori Nelson. After the event, All C.P. Squires teachers were treated to lunch in their break room, catered by Station Casinos.
This special week recognizes the district's educators who dedicate their time and efforts to the students of southern Nevada.
