Thanks to several fundraisers from Firehouse Subs at the Winterwood Pavilion, Summer Horn, a 17-year-old senior at Las Vegas High School, received a full-ride athletic scholarship to Langston University in Oklahoma.
The restaurant held 10 community night fundraisers, with 20 percent of the nights' proceeds going towards Horn's high school softball team. The funds raised allowed Horn the chance to showcase her talents for college recruiters.
Horn was presented with her athletic scholarship for softball at Firehouse Subs on 2208 S. Nellis Boulevard on Nov. 17.
