UPDATE: 65-year-old Pamella Siegel of Sacramento, Calif., was the grand prize winner as SlotZilla's one millionth rider.

She was in Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday with her daughter and granddaughter and then they decided to try the 12-story, slot machine-inspired zip line and in doing so won $1,000, free rides for a year and the designation at the 1,000,000th rider of the two and a half year old attraction.

ORIGINAL STORY

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- SlotZilla is celebrating one million riders with a month-long giveaway.

Every day in September, the zipline attraction will be giving away flights at the ticket booth and on the SlotZilla Facebook page.

Additionally, on Sept. 28 ten lucky flyers received a $1,000 prize, equalling one million pennies between all winners. Among the ten recipients, one grand prize winner got a one-year flight pass for SlotZilla.

Those that need a ride to the attraction can take advantage of a new partnership between Lyft and the Fremont Street Experience, which owns and operates SlotZilla. New Lyft members will receive a $50 credit towards future rides with the promo code FSE.

SlotZilla was built in 2012. Over the past four years, riders have flown roughly 1.275 billion feet, which is approximately the same distance as a trip to the moon.
