Shake Shack gives away free burgers to celebrate 100th restaurant location

Posted
On August 16, the first 100 people in line at Shake Shack will receive a free ShackBurger to celebrate the opening of the restaurant's 100th location in Boston's Seaport District. Both locations at Downtown Summerlin and New York-New York hotel-casino are participating starting at 10:30 a.m.

Shake Shack began as a hot dog cart at Madison Square Park in New York City, created by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). The cart supported the Madison Square Park Conservancy's first art installation, “I ♥ Taxi.”

In 2004, the hot dog cart was upgraded to a modern day roadside burger stand, becoming an instant neighborhood fixture. Since then the business has expanded to multiple locations worldwide, including London, Tokyo, Istanbul, Dubai, Moscow, Seoul, and more.
