HE POPULAR MONTHLY EVENT KICKS OFF WITH THE ARTWALK AT 5 P.M. THE ARTWALK SHOWCASES WORK BY PRIMARILY LOCAL ARTISTS. — "Roar in the '20s" is the theme for the first First Friday of 2020 in downtown Las Vegas.
The popular monthly event kicks off with the ArtWalk at 5 p.m. The ArtWalk showcases work by primarily local artists.
This month's featured artist is Christopher Walkenhorst, a local painter and illustrator who creates fine and commercial art. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Quite a bit of his fine art is interesting figurative work.
Performers this month include Jason Mraz and The Mowgli's. There will also be numerous performances by local musicians and bands from across Las Vegas throughout the night.
The ASK ME tent will provide information and family-friendly games and interactive art projects. Plus, there will be an interactive photo booth and contest where attendees have the chance to win $50.
