The kits included soap, lotion, razors, and other necessities. Volunteers also put a handwritten note in each telling the veterans they are appreciated and that they're not alone.

The hygiene kits will go to the local nonprofit U.S. Vets, which offers employment services to veterans along with assisting in transitional and permanent housing.
