LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — 13 Action News offered support to all the amazing veterans in the community during these unprecedented times.
We teamed up with our community partners to deliver more than 100 care packages to veterans living at assisted living facilities throughout Southern Nevada over the weekend.
One of the people who helped organize our care package drop-off was Girl Scout Abigail Panariso.
"Veterans are important to me because they are a large part of our lives," said Panariso. "They gave us freedom and they fought for our country. I really appreciate them and I really appreciate U.S. history."
On Wednesday, we kicked off Veterans Day by passing out more care packages to local veterans to honor and celebrate their service.
