Nearly 50 high schools battled it out in the FIRST Robotics Regional Championships this weekend at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The teams had to design and build their own robots and then compete against other teams.
FIRST -- For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology -- is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting science and technology to young people.
