Harvest for Hope raises $300K for CISN

Communities In Schools of Nevada’s (CIS of Nevada) fifth annual Harvest for Hope raised nearly $300,000 on Oct. 30 at The Sport Center of Las Vegas. More than 540 people joined CIS of Nevada for an evening of family fun, fall festivities and a culinary spread from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ award-winning restaurant and bar collection to raise funds for the local affiliate of the nation’s leading dropout prevention program.

The event also feature a live performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" by talent provided by BEST Agency; children enjoyed carnival games, face painting, and more; adults participated in a live auction; and a silent auction also offered amazing items and opportunities.

Restaurants from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas cooked up new seasonal treats as well as tried and true favorites. Participating restaurants include Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, Scarpetta and D.O.C.G.

The resort's pasty team also stocked a pastry station with many delectable items.

Diane Fearon, chief executive officer of CIS of Nevada, presented COX Cable with the Big Crow award to recognize their continued support of the CIS of Nevada mission. Susie Lee, board president of CIS of Nevada, recognized the site coordinators who are changing the lives of students every day.
