UPDATE NOV. 12: The Nevada Highway Patrol was able to assist in reuniting a dog who was found on the US-95 near Valey View Boulevard with its owner.
The department shared the update on its social media channels about the 16-year-old dog being reunited with her owner on Thursday.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers found this adorable pup walking alongside the ramp to the U.S. 95 from Valley View Boulevard.
Troopers say she was a little nervous at first but calmed down.

They brought the pup to the Animal Foundation where they'll take care of her and see if she has a chip.
If the owner can not be located, she will go up for adoption.
