The Animal Foundation has announced a "moving sale" for adult cats from Oct. 18 through 22.

The foundation is getting ready to start construction on the new Engelstad Family Adoppton Center and renovation of the Lied Animal Shelter.

With groundbreaking scheduled just weeks away, The Animal Foundation is having to relocate cats from its existing adoption tent to a set of trailers across the street to make space for construction vehicles and related activity.

The foundation says that it is have a "moving sale" because change is difficult for cats. So, they are waiving adoption fees for cats ages 6 months and older from Oct. 18 through 22.

Adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchip and up-to-date vaccines. A city/government fee of $10 will apply for residents of the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas.

Prospective cat parents are encouraged to stop by The Animal Foundation’s Adoption Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
