The Legacy Traditional School near Rainbow Boulevard and Windmill welcomed students on Thursday. Legacy is a new school and it is a tuition-free public charter school.
The principal says their teaching style is different than other schools in town. Legacy offers an accelerated program and directed instruction.
The school accepts students in kindergarten until the 8th grade.
