Legacy Schools name principal to their Southwest campus

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Legacy Traditional Schools has appointed Victoria Welling as principal of their Southwest Las Vegas campus which is due to open this fall.

Welling is currently the assistant principal at Legacy's North Valley school and has two decades of experience as an educator, most of it spent in the Clark County School District in various positions.

“She is a caring educator that will provide guidance to the students, and leadership to the faculty. Her years as an assistant principal has provided her with the experience needed to prepare a new staff for the opening of our new school.” said the superintendent of Legacy Traditional Schools in Nevada, Candyce Farthing.

Legacy Traditional Schools are tuition free charter schools and the new 95,000-square-foot Southwest campus will include a state-of-the-art culinary kitchen, indoor artificial turf field and piano classroom for its 1,400 students.

This will the the third campus in the Las Vegas area.
