95 skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes at Lee Canyon to help raise over $2,000 for the Nevada Donor Network (NDN) on January 13.

The event, called the Ruby Cup, was a race that honored the life of Chris Ruby. The 20-year-old snowboarder passed away in 2014. Because he was an organ donor, he was able to help 90 patients in need.

The entry fee for the Ruby Cup was $20, and 100 percent of the proceeds went to the NDN. Organ donors who entered the race got to compete for free, and Lee Canyon made a $20 donation for every participating donor.

The winner received a 2018/19 All Access season pass to Lee Canyon.

NDN was also on site collecting additional cash donations, and helping people register to become an organ donor.
